As an official of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC), Danny Wang oversaw the legal research to establish regulatory oversight and implementation methods of various agencies. He directed one of the biggest full-scale legal research projects at the MOTC regarding Taiwan’s casino gaming policy and controls, and served as the main government liaison in multidisciplinary discussions and coordination with over 20 government agencies on varying issues such as taxes, economic development, education, and public health, among others.
After leaving government services, Danny developed and implemented the overall strategy for the passage of Taiwan’s first referendum, a major milestone considering the cultural and socio-political implications of reversing a long-standing ban on gaming in Taiwan. This opportunity allowed him to work with local governments, communities, scholars, industry groups and others interested in seeing this initiative pass. Danny produced mass media information, prepared debate material, and engaged in door-to-door visits, actively in the middle of every strategic plan for the referendum.
In his capacity as a consultant, Danny provides effective political forecasting and legislative analysis to high-level business executives and government leaders. Danny’s cross-disciplinary training has allowed him to effectively lead and navigate complex collaborative projects involving professionals (PR, legal, consulting), organizations (scholars, community groups), governments (central, local), and developers (domestic and foreign).
In recent years, Danny has expanded his work to other focus areas, namely community and economic development initiatives. His work includes technology, health and life sciences, organic agriculture, renewable energy, and private client services. His robust experience with government-driven initiatives puts him in a unique position to quickly understand, strategize, and implement clients’ needs across a broad variety of subject matters.
